Slinga Malinga

Cricket is the most famous and closest sport in Sri Lanka.I think the victory of 1996 cricket world cup is the main reason tor that.Since that era there were so many clever players were able to represent the national team.Among them Separamadu Lasith Malinga is a very special bowler for Sri Lanka with his talent.

This amazing bowler was found by Mr.Champaka Ramanayake.He said that when he was  playing to Malinga he was unable to understand the bowling action,because the action was very rare from traditional cricket and it was very fast with his age.Then he tried to move Malinga to Sri Lanka cricket team.Then however Lasith Malinga was able to play his debut international test match in 2004 against Australia in Australia.Actually his bowling action is rather different action to ICC.It was a round arm action.That bowling action was named as "Slinga".Actually his deep yoker is very dangerous for batsmen.

After that he was able to play both ODI and T20 cricket for Sri Lanka.In 2010 he played his last test match in his carrier.It is against India,but he did not retire from other two formats.With his slinga ball he was able to show so many talents.Actually he was the one and only bowler to take back to back 4 wickets in an over.It was against South Africa in the CWC in 2007.And also he was the highest hat trick taker in the world in ODI cricket.It is 3.Other hand he was the one and only bowler to take 2 hat tricks in ODI cricket world cups.Not only in ODIs,but also he was able to play clever in T20Is.In his carrier he was able to get 97 T20 wickets.Now he is trying to take 2 more wickets and become the highest wicket taker in T20 internationals.And also he has played so many franchises in the world.Specially for IPL to represent Mumbai Indians since 2009 to present.There fore this lion is the highest wicket taker in IPL history.His best bowling in T20 cricket is 6 for 7.He did it by representing Melbourne Stars for BBL.

In 2014 Sri Lanka won the ICC T20 CWC in Bangladesh with the captaincy of Lasith Malinga.There fore SL cricket fans love more and more for him.Mali did a great job for Sri Lanka and he is still playing .There fore we must love and give support for him forever.
